How to Use the Weather Map

Layer Controls

Use the controls in the top right to toggle different weather layers:

  • Weather Radar - Shows current precipitation intensity
  • Precipitation - Shows precipitation forecast
  • Temperature - Displays temperature variations
  • Storm Markers - Shows locations of severe weather

Map Navigation

  • Zoom: Use the + and - buttons or mouse wheel
  • Pan: Click and drag the map
  • Click markers for detailed weather information
  • Clusters will split into individual markers when zoomed in

Layer Opacity

Use the opacity slider to adjust the transparency of weather overlays.

Legend

The legend at the bottom shows the severity levels for storm markers:

  • Red - Severe conditions (strong storms, high winds)
  • Orange - High severity
  • Yellow - Moderate conditions
  • Blue - Light weather conditions

Updates

Weather data automatically updates every 10 minutes.

Global Storm Tracker

View current global weather and storms as they happen in real-time

Track severe weather conditions including thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds across the globe

Use the layer controls to view different weather data: precipitation radar, temperature variations, and storm locations

Click the Help button in the navigation bar for detailed instructions on using the map

• Light rain

Very Light

• Gentle breeze
• < 11 mph
